 You are
looking at a Variable Temperature Seat (VTS).
VTS accomplishes three
important functions in A/C mode.
1. The surface of the seat cools down
very quickly.
2. The VTS starts absorbing heat from the
occupant, reducing or
eliminating perspiration, and reducing the usual
initial heat stress that
occurs when entering a vehicle that has been
soaking in the sun.
3. The occupant is effectively cooled by
the VTS, reducing, and in
some instances, eliminating the need for
conventional A/C in order to
maintain comfort. It is also easier
for the occupant to dissipate the
required body heat at much reduced
body surface temperatures.

In heat mode the effect is faster and more
dramatic than in A/C
mode. In A/C mode the temperature
differential between the
occupant and the seat will be between 18 and
20 degrees while in
heat mode the difference will be no less than 40
degrees.
The illustration shown below will show you the
internal workings of a VTS seat.
This unit only draws about 6 amps of power from your
regular 12V system.
We will supply you with new factory style seat
covers for your Ferrari (F355 spyder shown) and the
VTS system for
$1,900 per seat. New complete seats can also be provided at $4,300
each.
We can install this system in race cars and earlier Ferrari
models as well.
